Can anyone join TradeDay?

  • You need to be at least 18 years old.
  • You must not be a citizen or resident on our Prohibited Countries list.
  • Our broker and clearing firm will run background checks when you are funded.

We built TradeDay to be a platform for anyone interested in day trading, from beginner to veteran traders.

However, you do need to be 18 years or older.

We also cannot open accounts for residents or citizens from countries on our prohibited countries list, please click here for more details.

During this process, our broker and clearing firm will run a KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti Money Laundering) check. You will also be required to provide a bank statement or utility bill as proof of address, and a government-issued ID.

If you cannot provide these documents or fail these background checks (for example, if you are a convicted felon), we will not be able to proceed with opening the funded account, and you will not be eligible for any refunds.

Can I trade under a business entity?

US-based single-person LLCs are permitted, multiple-member LLCs are not allowed. We cannot open accounts for S-corps or C-corps.

You will be required to enter your personal information in the account opening forms, but you can enter your single member LLC business information at Riseworks to receive payouts that way. Please note setting up a single member LLC at Riseworks takes time as the KYC is a manual process.

We cannot accept applications for international businesses or make payouts to international businesses.

I don't have any experience in trading, is TradeDay the right platform for me?

TradeDay has a number of educational courses, daily meetings, research, and a trading community. You are welcome to join us on our 14 day free trial to get access to these resources, or join our Resources and Education package to get ongoing access.

However, if you are considering an evaluation please note the following: The evaluation is a realistic simulation of trading under actual market conditions and is difficult to pass, even for experienced traders. The evaluation is not suggested for individuals with minimal trading experience.
