The quick answer is no, we do not allow traders to carry long-term open positions.
TradeDay is a day trading company and as such we require all traders to close open positions before the close of their products that day.
This helps us (and you) risk manage the trading account.
Trading during the night time hours is allowed, but we require the position to be closed out before the close of the market the following day.
For example. Crude Oil is open for 23 hours, it closes at 4 pm CT and re-opens again at 5 pm CT. You can establish a position after 5 pm, and leave it open until Crude Oil closes at 4 pm the next day.
