What are the position limits guidelines, and Contracts vs Micros.

Position Limits

The position limits are fixed according to the evaluation you take and are mapped to your funded account when you pass.

It is the traders responsibility to be aware of their maximum position limits and their open positions at all times.

We do not fail traders for accidental position limit breaks, but traders who look to exploit the system and continually breach the maximum position limit will lose their account.

Contracts vs Micros

We have Micro equivalency. This means if your maximum position limit is 5 lots contracts, you will be able to trade up to 50 lots Micro.

Contracts and Micro positions can be combined, up to the equivalent of the contract maximum position limit.

The ability to trade the equivalent position size in micros is carried over when funded.

Please note we limit the maximum Micro position to 50 lots, this is because of the elevated risk of slippage given the liquidity in the Micro order book.

What is a CME micro futures contract?

A micro contract is a smaller version of the larger contract. They typically represent 1/10th the value of the underlying commodity. This means the tick value is usually 1/10th of the contract.

For example:

E-Mini S&P tick size is $12.50

E-Mini micro tick size is $1.25
