Q.What versions of NinjaTrader do we use?

A. We only support the latest version of NinjaTrader 8

Q. What are the costs of using NinjaTrader for the evaluation?

A. Free. Ninjatrader will provide you with their free version during the evaluation. 

Q. What are the costs of NinjaTrader when I am funded? 

A. Free

Q. Can I use my existing license?

A. Yes, you can use your own Multi-broker license, or a Single-broker license (if the Single-broker license is connected to NinjaTrader brokerage, if it is not please contact them directly for a switch, or an upgrade to Multi-broker).

Q. What are the commission costs when using my NinjaTrader license? 

A. Please note that any commission deal you have on your existing license will not reduce the trading commission costs at TradeDay. Click here for commissions.

Q. Does NinjaTrader integrate with Tradovate?

A. Yes, it does! With TradeDay you can trade on Ninja from your Windows desktop at home, and check the markets, and trade, from Tradovate on your cell phone. It all seamlessly integrates...what you do on one platform will be reflected in the other.

How do I get started with NinjaTrader?

A. Sign up for TradeDay, and complete the setup for Tradovate by signing into your Tradeday Tradovate account and signing the market data agreement form. Then go here.

Please note if you are you are switching from an Evaluation, or a Funded Sim, to a Funded Live account, you will need to make the switch in the connections module to Live Trading :


Also, Funded Live traders will not be able to have Tradovate and NinjaTrader open at the same time because of market data restrictions. 





If you get an error about Order Flow as shown in the snippet below:

  • Log in to your Tradovate account via their webpage.

  • Navigate to the settings and ensure that order flow tools are enabled.

  • This step is crucial for TradeDay users, as our setup requires enabling these tools through Tradovate, unlike other prop firms where they may be pre-configured.


Order Flow Tools Installation:


Go to the NinjaTrader homepage and download the necessary order flow tools.


Follow the installation instructions provided to integrate these tools into your NinjaTrader platform.

Verification and Testing:


After enabling the tools, it is recommended to perform a quick verification by opening a few trades to ensure the data is displaying correctly.


Check for any error messages and confirm that the interface is functioning as expected.


No Evaluation account showing in NinjaTrader after reset purchase


If you have purchased a reset and you cannot see it in NinjaTrader, this is usually because the platform hasn't connected to it.


Please disconnect your platform, and reconnect, and you should see the new evaluation account in your list of accounts. 


Please remember to make sure you have connected your order entry method to the new Evaluation account before trading.
